Ruling on Wudu with a Bandage Present
A woman has suffered a tissue tear, and her doctor has instructed her to keep bandages on continuously. Is it permissible for her to wipe over them, or should she remove them, perform wudu, and then reapply them?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If removing it and wiping underneath it harms her, it is permissible to wipe over it; and if it does not harm her, it is obligatory to wash underneath it, and God knows best.
