Question
Does napping in a chair invalidate wudu? Sometimes a person is reading the Quran at dawn and dozes off for a minute, does this nap invalidate their wudu?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If his sitting is stable such that the buttocks are firmly on the ground, then his ablution is not invalidated by sleep, even if the sleep is prolonged; however, if the buttocks are elevated off the ground, then his ablution is invalidated by sleep, even if it is for a short time, and God knows best.
