Ruling on Wearing Colored Clothing for a Woman in Iddah After the Death of Her Husband

Question
A wife whose husband has passed away wears black as a sign of mourning, but she wears a colored hijab. Is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Mourning does not have a specific color, but it is characterized by refraining from adornment. As long as this color is not considered a visible adornment, it is permissible to wear it, and God knows best.
