Ruling on Voluntary Prayer (Nafl) Named After Asr
Is it permissible to pray a voluntary prayer after the obligatory Asr prayer, such as the Sunnah of ablution, and is it recommended in the Hanafi school to perform a Sunnah for ablution?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: The voluntary prayer (nafl) is not to be performed after the Asr prayer due to the prohibition against it. It is recommended to pray two rak'ahs after ablution, but not during the times of dislike as in our issue. And God knows best.
