Ruling on the Vow of the Thing Vowed to be Removed
I made a vow that if a problem of mine was solved, I would prepare a lunch for the school where I work. However, the problem was solved after I transferred from the school to a distant area, and I can no longer fulfill the vow at the same school due to the distance. What should I do?
Answer
It is not a condition to fulfill the vow at the same school, but it is estimated according to what you provide for those in the school, and it can be given to the poor anywhere in any way you see fit, whether in money, food, clothing, or otherwise. And Allah knows best.
