Ruling on the Use of Oil for Treatment for a Woman in Iddah after the Death of Her Husband
Is it permissible for a woman in Iddah after the death of her husband to apply oil to her hair if she suffers from severe headaches? And is this considered adornment?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The original principle is that there should be no adornment, and if it is for adornment, then it is permissible if used out of necessity, and God knows best.
