Ruling on the Supplications Narrated in Prostration
Is it permissible to supplicate with verses from the Quran in prostration, such as: 'My Lord, I seek refuge with You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge; and unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the losers.'
Answer
I say, and with God's help: These supplications are permissible in voluntary prayer, not in obligatory prayer, and God knows best.
