Ruling on the Maintenance of a Widow
Does the wife pay the rent of the house where she is in her waiting period after her husband's death to the heirs? And from where will her maintenance come?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The maintenance of a woman whose husband has passed away is not the responsibility of the husband, but rather from her own wealth or what she has inherited. If the house is part of the inheritance, the heirs are entitled to rent for it, or she must leave the house and move to another one. And God knows best.
