Ruling on the Follower Preceding His Imam in Prayer
A follower went from bowing to prostration without standing up, and he preceded his imam by two prostrations. What is the ruling on his prayer?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Every pillar performed by the follower before the imam is invalid unless the imam catches up with him in it or the follower repeats it with the imam or after him. If the follower does not do so, his prayer is invalid. And God knows best.
