Question
We had a car that was sold, and we are a mother, three sons, and six daughters. The car is from the estate of my deceased husband, and we have partition cases in court between us and my husband's brothers, which are very costly. There are three minor children, and we have deposited their share in the orphans' fund. The remaining share for the other heirs is left. Is it permissible to keep the amount to complete the court procedures, or should it be distributed equally among the heirs?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The estimation of the matter is up to you in what is most appropriate, and God knows best.
