Ruling on the Communication of a Widow in Iddah with Non-Mahram Men
A woman whose husband has passed away is currently in her waiting period at home. Her deceased husband's son from another country called her to offer condolences. Is it permissible for him to talk to her or see her via camera?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: The waiting period does not prevent accepting condolences, talking with others, and seeing them as long as there is no seclusion or temptation, and God knows best.
