Ruling on the Appearance of Discharge During the Postpartum Period
A woman has been 22 days since her delivery, then the bleeding stopped, but she still sees the discharge. Does she have to perform ghusl (ritual washing) and pray, or should she wait until the fortieth day?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: She is considered postpartum, so she should not pray until she becomes pure; because all types of blood during the postpartum period are considered part of the postpartum bleeding, and Allah knows best.
