Ruling on Taking Money Under Religious Pretexts

Question
A widow with orphaned children lives with them in an orphanage that meets all their needs. Nevertheless, she requests monthly assistance from another source, claiming that she spends it on the orphans. Is it permissible for her to take this assistance for herself and not spend it on her orphaned children?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Her request must be sincere, and what she takes for the orphans must be for them, and it is not permissible for her to use it for anything else, and God knows best.
