Ruling on Sitting During Voluntary Prayer for the Sick
Is it permissible for a sick person to sit during voluntary prayer? Should the worshipper start standing and then sit, or should they begin the prayer sitting?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If he is not able to pray standing, he should pray sitting, and he should start praying sitting, and God knows best.
