Ruling on Reading a Short Surah When Compensating for Missed Rakat
I joined the imam for the last two rakats of the Dhuhr prayer, should I read a short surah when I perform the two missed rakats with the imam?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: You must recite Al-Fatiha and the Surah in what you pray after the Imam's salutation; because it is considered the beginning of your prayer, and God knows best.
