Ruling on Purifying Carpets from Impurity by Wiping
If a child urinates on a carpet, and the urine is removed by wiping, is the carpet considered pure, and is it permissible to pray on it? Or does it only become pure by washing? And is the impurity only where the urine is or the entire carpet?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The carpet cannot be purified except by washing it, and wiping it is not sufficient. The prayer on the carpet is valid if the impurity is not in the place of the feet or the forehead, and God knows best.
