Ruling on Praying for a Stillborn Fetus
A lady gave birth to a child in the middle of the eighth month, and after 17 days from the birth, the child passed away and was washed, but no one prayed for him. What is the ruling in this case?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If he comes out alive, it is obligatory for them to pray for him as a communal obligation; if they do not pray for him, they will be sinful. And God knows best.
