Ruling on Paying Zakat from Profits
I have an amount of money in the bank that has reached the nisab, and a year has passed on it. Is it permissible to pay the Zakat on this money from the profits it generates?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Zakat is obligatory on you from the wealth itself or from the profit, and God knows best.
