Ruling on Paying the Expiation to the Wife
A man took an oath, and he is required to offer expiation. Is it permissible for him to give the expiation to his wife, because she has a debt due to her children, and her husband does not pay off her debt, and she pays it off from the alms?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The expiation is to be paid to ten needy people, excluding his children, wife, and parents. And God knows best.
