Ruling on Mistake in Breaking an Oath
A person swore on the Quran and broke his oath unintentionally, is he required to make expiation?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Its expiation is the expiation of an oath; because swearing on the Quran is no different from swearing by God in general, and God knows best.
