Ruling on Giving Zakat to a Brother
Is it permissible to give my sick, poor brother from my personal money and consider it as zakat?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to give zakat to a brother, and you will have two rewards: the reward of zakat and the reward of maintaining ties, and God knows best.
