Ruling on Giving Zakat of Money as Olive Oil
I have an amount of money that is due for zakat, can I give its zakat as olive oil?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's guidance: It is permissible to pay zakat in value, so it can be given as oil, olives, clothing, or others, estimated at the amount due in zakat, and Allah knows best.
