Ruling on Giving Charity with Someone Else's Money Without Their Permission
A person arranges for wells to be dug for the deceased, and the cost of the well is 115 dinars, so they take 130 from the deceased's family and distribute the difference to the needy without the donor's knowledge. Is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible to take from the donor's money except after obtaining his permission; because it is deceit and betrayal to him, even if it is spent on other good causes, and God knows best.
