Ruling on Giving Charity to Descendants
I want to give charity on my own behalf from my personal money. Is it permissible to give it to my granddaughter to pay for her university tuition due to poverty and need?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If this charity is not zakat, it is permissible to give it to descendants such as children and grandchildren, and God knows best.
