Ruling on Forgetting to Recite Surah Al-Ikhlas in the Third Raka'ah of Witr
A person forgot to recite Surah Al-Ikhlas in the third raka'ah and went into bowing immediately after Al-Fatiha. What is the ruling on that? And what is the ruling on reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas in the second raka'ah?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The short surah should be recited in the first and second units of the obligatory prayer, and in all units of the voluntary prayer, and God knows best.
