Ruling on Forgetting a Short Surah in One of the Witr Units
Do I have to make up the Witr prayer in which I forgot to recite a short Surah in one of its units?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Leaving a Surah is a mandatory omission in prayer, and if a mandatory act is omitted, it requires prostration for forgetfulness, not a repetition of the prayer. And God knows best.
