Ruling on Following the Latecomer
A person joined the imam during the last tashahhud, and after the imam finished the prayer, this person stood up to complete what he missed; then another person joined and followed the latecomer. Is this permissible? Does it affect the prayer of the latecomer that was followed by another?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: it is not correct to follow the one who has missed part of the prayer, and the prayer of the follower will be invalid, and there is no harm on the one who has missed part of the prayer, and God knows best.
