Ruling on Cutting Hair and Nails for the One Who Wants to Sacrifice
A person intended to make a sacrifice and cut his hair and nails after the 1st of Dhul-Hijjah, knowing that it is not permissible to cut or shave. Is it permissible for him to sacrifice or not?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Cutting hair and nails is not prohibited; rather, it is permissible, but it is contrary to what is preferable. There is no issue with sacrificing it, and God knows best.
