Question
I sold one of my children a property from my assets for 20,000 dinars - its real value is 120,000 Jordanian dinars - in installments of 100 dinars per month, without any down payments, and I wrote a contract for that. Does our Islamic Sharia prohibit this? Knowing that this son remembers me with some expenses more than my other children, is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to sell on installment to children and others, and it is permissible to agree on any price that the two contracting parties agree upon, and God knows best.
