Ruling on Changing Intention in Prayer:
Is it permissible to change the intention during prayer, such as starting with the intention of the Witr prayer and then changing the intention during the prayer to pray four Rak'ahs of Qiyam, and then pray Witr afterwards?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to change the intention from one prayer to another during the prayer, and God knows best.
