Ruling on Blood Flow Lasting More Than Ten Days
A girl had her period stop for three months, and when she menstruated, it lasted twelve days with dark brown discharge, accompanied by back and abdominal pain. On the thirteenth day, pinkish-red blood appeared. What is the ruling on prayer during these days?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: She is considered to be menstruating from the first day she saw the discharge for the duration of her old cycle, and anything beyond that is considered irregular bleeding, and God knows best.
