Ruling on a Boy Entering Upon a Woman in Iddah
My mother is in the mourning period for her husband's death, and she is elderly. Is it permissible for her niece's son, who is twelve years old, to enter upon her, knowing that the boy is her sister's son through breastfeeding?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: A woman is not prevented from receiving non-mahrams during her waiting period if there is a mahram present and there is no temptation. As for your issue, the boy is a mahram to her through breastfeeding, so it is permissible for him to enter at all times, and God knows best.
