Question
What acts of worship are prohibited for a woman during her menstrual period, and what is allowed?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is not permissible for a menstruating woman to pray or prostrate at any time, whether in performance or in making up for it. Similarly, she cannot fast, touch the Quran, or read it. She is prohibited from entering the mosque and performing Tawaf. However, she is allowed to remember God whenever she wishes, to glorify Him, to declare His oneness, and to read the supplications as a form of prayer, as well as engage in all acts of goodness. And God knows best.
