Responding to Greetings from Non-Muslims
We have a Christian manager who comes in the morning and says: Peace be upon you, the greeting of Islam. Is it permissible to respond to him with the greeting of Islam and say: And upon you be peace and God's mercy, or what should we respond to him?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to respond to him with the full greeting, and it is better to respond with the phrase: "And upon you," and God knows best.
