Reperforming the Funeral Prayer at Home
My father passed away, may Allah have mercy on him, and after we took him for prayer at the mosque, I performed the funeral prayer for him at home with the women. Is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The deceased is prayed for once under known conditions, and it is not permissible to pray more than once, either at home or in the mosque. It is necessary to deny the prayer of women for the deceased at home as it contradicts the Sharia. And God knows best.
