Reducing Desire Among Youth
In light of these circumstances where chastity and marriage are difficult, and where illicit relationships are prevalent, especially with the availability of the internet, relationships are formed easily and simply. A man can talk to any girl, and she opens her heart to him, causing desire to stir. Is it permissible for a person to resort to taking pills that suppress desire in order to limit any lust or weakness they face?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is disliked to consume such pills if they have negative and harmful effects on health, and one should avoid ways to stimulate desire and resort to fasting and other correct lawful methods, and God knows best.
