Re-reading Al-Fatiha in Prayer
Is it permissible to re-read Al-Fatiha in the same unit of prayer if one is likely to forget it? And is it permissible to repeat the obligatory prayer a second time due to excessive distraction during the prayer?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is considered a preponderance of suspicion; if you are not overwhelmingly convinced that leaving out Al-Fatiha is wrong, it is not repeated, and the obligatory prayer is not repeated after its performance due to distraction of the mind. However, one should strive repeatedly to perform it completely with humility, and God knows best.
