Raising the Voice of a Woman in Prayer
Sometimes I pray out loud to a certain extent because my son is next to me; so he can learn to pray and memorize the short surahs. Is this permissible knowing that I am alone with my son at home?
Answer
It is disliked for a woman to raise her voice in prayer so that others can hear her; because a woman's prayer is based on concealment and not on showing off. However, teaching her son can be achieved outside of prayer, and Allah knows best.
