Raising the Finger During the Tashahhud for Salutation
What is the ruling on keeping the finger raised until the end of the prayer during the Tashahhud? Should I raise it and keep it raised until I finish?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: Raise your index finger when saying the declaration of faith, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah," then lower it after finishing the testimony, and do not keep it raised according to one of the accepted opinions. And Allah knows best.
