Question
My husband passed away recently and we have three daughters. He worked as a soldier, and after his death, the inheritance was distributed to the heirs through the Sharia court. The court transferred the amounts to the Islamic bank except for the amount allocated for my daughters, which was transferred to the orphan care center. Is it forbidden to leave my daughters' money in the orphan bank for saving and investing? I am a teacher in the Ministry of Education, and my salary is transferred to the Arab Islamic Bank. Is it forbidden to leave my salary in the bank to accumulate it?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Islamic bank transactions are in accordance with Sharia, so it is permissible to keep the salary in them, and likewise with the orphan fund transactions; there is no sin in that, and God knows best.
