What is the ruling for someone who has a residential building that they rent out to people, and does not pay its zakat, but only pays the zakat on the rent if it reaches the nisab and a year has passed?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Zakat is due on the rent if it reaches the nisab, and not on the building itself, and God knows best.
