Question
A woman whose husband prays and fasts, but when he gets angry, he commits disbelief and utters oaths of divorce, such as telling his son: 'Divorce from your mother if you bring the coffee, I won't take it.' Then after a day, he asks for the coffee and his son brings it to him, and he does nothing, and the matter repeats?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: There is no excuse for disbelief and divorce. Whoever utters disbelief is a disbeliever, and whoever conditions divorce will have it take effect if the condition is met. Therefore, he should consult the mufti to understand the situation, and God knows best.
