Question
My husband divorced me three times, and after the waiting period, I married another man, but our life together did not last, and I requested a divorce and obtained it. My first husband asked me to return to him because I have three daughters from him, and I returned out of concern for my daughters, as no one else provides for them but me. However, I did not want to return due to his bad character; he is a drug addict and does not pray. Even now, he does not provide for us. I work and support myself and my daughters. Now, I cannot stand him, and he wants his marital rights, but I would prefer death over that. Am I sinful for denying him his marital rights?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not the wife's right to deny her husband herself for any reason, and you are sinful for that; because you have no right to prevent him, and God knows best.
