Question
A man was subjected to abuse and insults by some of his in-laws (his wife's brothers), so he prevented them from entering his house and visiting their sister even on holidays; however, he allowed his wife to go to her family's house to meet her brothers there whenever she wanted. Is he sinful for this action?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If his relatives do not respect him, he has the right to prevent them from entering his house unless good people intervene and adhere to their limits. He is not allowed to prevent his wife from visiting her family and communicating with them, and God knows best.
