Praying with Artificial Nails
My daughter put artificial nails on her fingers, and when she wanted to remove them, she couldn't due to the strong adhesive. She missed several obligatory prayers because of the ablution and the attached artificial nails. I told her to pray the obligatory prayers on time and then remove the adhesive nails afterward; she needed a specialized place to remove them, and she didn't pray. Did she make a mistake, and is the solution to pray in the condition she was in until that problem is resolved?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: Her prayer is not valid in this case; because the water does not reach the original nails, and she must make every effort to remove them, and it is forbidden for her to delay or miss any prayer. She can pray now if the removal is difficult until she removes them, and Allah knows best.
