Praying for the Deceased by Their Names
Is it permissible to pray for the deceased by name, for example: my aunt, my uncle, or my grandfather, while mentioning the name?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to pray for them by name, and it is recommended to dedicate the reward of charitable deeds to them by mentioning their names as well, and God knows best.
