Performing Prayer for One Who Lost Consciousness
My mother contracted COVID-19 and lost consciousness for a period; sometimes she would remember and sometimes she was not aware. Currently, she is praying with a cloth. Does she need to make up the prayers she missed for 3 months?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If she is unconscious because she fainted or lost her mind, the prayer is waived for her and it does not need to be made up. Otherwise, she must make it up, and God knows best.
