Penalizing the Buyer if They Cause Damage to the Seller
A person took a deposit of (100) dinars from a customer for an order amounting to (300) dinars, and after preparing the order, the buyer refused to take it. Is the seller entitled to the discount written on the invoice, which is (25%)?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If he has suffered harm due to the non-continuation of the contract, he is entitled to receive compensation equivalent to the harm incurred, and God knows best.
