Payment for Those Who Distribute Charities
Is it permissible for someone who collects charity money and distributes it to hire a person to assist him in the distribution and pay him from the charity money? Is this also permissible for zakat, zakat al-fitr, and expiation?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to cover the expenses of zakat from it, because he is an agent to deliver the alms to their rightful recipients among the poor, and God knows best.
