Question
Is it permissible to give a poor person an amount of Zakat that exceeds the nisab? For example: a person gave a poor person 10,000 dinars as Zakat, does this poor person have to pay Zakat on this money that was given to him by the wealthy person? And is the action of the one giving Zakat correct?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to give one poor person a full share or more, with dislike, and this poor person becomes rich, and he pays the zakat if the conditions of zakat are met, such as: the passage of a year and the share being free of debt ... etc., and God knows best.
